This year’s National Beach Clean-Up day in Taiwan will take place on May 28th 2022, and as we do every year, TITOMA and friends will head towards Qianshuiwan seaside park to the north of Taipei.
Soon we’ll update you with photos and how much trash we removed from the beach.
In the meantime, you can read about last year’s beach clean up activity.
It was scorching hot that day, but we, along with the help of 100 volunteers, managed to gather 611 kg of trash. Here are some photos
It all started at 3 PM when we gathered in front of the beach.
We handed out all the necessary tools
And off we went to clean the beach
After one hour, trash was starting to pile up
We removed every piece of trash we found, no matter how big it was
We mean it
By 6 PM we had gathered 611kg of trash
This was an excellent opportunity for everyone involved to socialize and meet new people, but most importantly to create awareness on how much work we still need to do to treat nature with respect.
