An Engineering Validation Test (EVT) aims to eliminate hardware issues; it’s performed on the first engineering prototypes to ensure that the basic unit performs to design goals and functionality requirements.

LIST OF EVT TESTS
- Signal quality test
- Power measurement test
- Conformance test
- Electromagnetic interference test
- Thermal test
Your product won’t need to go through all the tests mentioned above, or maybe yes; it depends on what your product does and the environment where it’ll work.
HOW LONG DOES THE ENGINEERING VALIDATION TEST PROCESS TAKE?
It’s hard to give an exact time as different products present different challenges.
But we can tell for sure that all companies should allocate a minimum of 4-5 weeks.
Do not rush through the EVT stage, as it is vital to identify any design issues early in the product development process and get rid of them.
